The new Coronavirus is on everyone’s radar as more people become vigilant about it. Because of this, worldwide has an outbreak with cases reported in several countries including Malaysia. For this reason, it is essential for the public to be aware of the basic facts about COVID-19. It is good for us to follow these precautions. You would need to not touch your face or anyone else’s face. Next, make sure to throw masks after using it. We are also encouraged to not share food, utensils, cups, or even towels. To open and close the door, we will need to open it with elbows or shoulder instead of using hands. More importantly, we need to wash our hands with soap.
The most important piece of advice from health experts that can help us stay safe from COVID-19 is to wash hands the right way. Therefore. hand-washing with soap frequently and thoroughly is the smartest method in warding off germs and preventing transmission.
Besides that, alarm over the Coronavirus has caused a run on hand sanitizers which is often more convenient. Make sure to use it properly which means rubbing the sanitizer on both hands completely and letting them dry. However, hand sanitizers might not remove significant amounts of dirt and grease or harmful metals and chemicals.
For your information, masks are effective at capturing droplets as it is a main transmission route of coronavirus. However, wearing a mask is more effective for people already showing symptoms of coronavirus and their caregivers.
