The Daily Diner hosted a collaboration gathering with the aspiring social media moguls featuring @jjcmperak, @mohkeipoh, @ahmadhunaian, and @zuukery. The impact of influencers in the market has tremendously raised, in tandem with the trust placed by audiences in them. This collaboration correspondingly intends to maximize marketing effectiveness as these social media influencers directly participate in honest food reviews and promote eating spots in their very own creative way. With content created for different social media pages, we can engage with a larger and bigger spectrum of audiences. Recognizing this and seeing the potential of the influencer market, the Daily Diner partnered with Ipoh’s powerful influencers to bring our cafe soft opening to the locals.

Its All About the Daily Diner

Just a quick brief, you need to understand at the Daily Diner, we took inspiration from all things Asian and reworked it with our local cuisine, giving you possibly something a little different. Not just that, we are taking the risk of presenting an uncommon menu to Ipoh locals with limited portions per day. Can I also add, it’s the cuisine that is hard to find in Ipoh, right? By that, we would like to welcome you to the Daily Diner, the only place where you can get remarkably Asian Crossover dishes.

The Preparation

Before the event, my colleague and I were super nervous. First and foremost, my job is to find the best fit for our eatery. It so happened after having a tête-à-tête, I finally found our Fantastic Four, feels like a weight has been lifted! Right then, we began some homework and memorized every detail on the cafe background and menus. Chance favors the prepared, am I right?

The Gathering

We have girded our loins in the preparation process, so there’s not much we can do but hope for the best and prepare for the worst. We even reserved the places with names so that everything will be on the rails. On a hustle and bustle afternoon, we were waiting for our special guest with blood running cold. There will be approximately 13 people coming from 4 different groups. I don’t know what to expect, just hoping everything goes well. *finger crossed!

Influencers Are Here!

A glimpse of our first guest Mr. Ahmad Hunaian instantly makes me jittery. I greeted him at the front door prompting him to the seat reserved. Our second guest, Mr. Syamil (@jjcmperak Admin), arrived shortly afterward, followed by Mr. Megat from @mohkeipoh. A pleasant conversation with them calms my nerves. They are all busy taking pictures and videos of the cafe’s decorations, then continue their chatter at Mr. Hunaian’s table. So far, the first part of this gathering went smoothly. However, we’re incomplete without our very last special guests, Mr. Zukeri and Ms. Amira, who makes quite a late appearance.

Food Tasting Starts Now

As everyone’s here, the food tasting begins. We are giving our fantastic four to either have a chef recommendation or pick any selection from our actual menu. Since they all are avid eaters like M Makan Kakis, we encourage them to try our recommended menu, tDD Fire Rice with cheese, Omurice Fried Rice, Fried Udon Green Curry, and Chang-Soo Pasta.

In the beginning, the food preparation ran smoothly. I’m so relieved to see that everything is under control. Did you know that even Papa also takes part in the service? While most of the day went smoothly, there were moments of tension among some of the kitchen crew. Let’s skip this part…..we’re just newbies!

Towards the end of the gathering, they are satisfied with the food and ambiance. We keep our eyes on the guest’s reactions, especially their facial expression (nodded, shocked faces, and more). It is satisfying to see them enjoying the food until leaving empty plates. However, the comment serves as a lesson for us to improve for the coming future. Indeed, we appreciate their honest feedback, something that we value very much.

On the whole, it was a fruitful experience to be working alongside such brilliant individuals. Each of them contributes a vast influence on the success of this collaboration. Thank you so much for being an integral part of our gathering. It was remarkable within a short time, the response of the engagement was outstanding.
