Tucked away in the heart of Ipoh lies a quaint cafe with a wide variety of vintage objects that brings nostalgic treasures, called Vintage Cafe No.100. If checking out pretty and outdated stuff is your cup of tea, we highly recommend you to drop by here. Not only is it have vintage, quirky, and old pieces of goods, but it is also worth every penny for its reasonable price.
In The Know
The owner finds it unique and meaningful to name his cafe after his premise number, 100. It is no coincidence that everything screams nostalgia as the interior is flush with stuff from back then. It’s selections of vinyl, old record players, old Coca-Cola glass bottles, vintage brand advertising signs, paper bags, album covers, etc. For your information, these are the owner’s collections of almost 20 years of collecting vintage items.
Recommendation
Vintage Cafe No.100 offers local dishes. A plate of Laksa with green chili gravy tasted so good. Believe it or not, I am sure you would ask for another bowl. Both Mee Rebus and Rojak Pasembor are delicious with sweet and thick gravy, an inherited recipe from Mr.Hafizi’s great grandparents. Reminiscent of his high school memories, eating Yik Fong’s Maggi inspired Mr. Hafizi to create their Maggi Kari Pedas version. Slurppp! Your taste buds will be blown away just by a sip. Also, try on their new promotional menu Mee Udang Hokkein. The broth is flavorsome with a sweet taste of shrimp (I’m drooling!). Did you know they served your drinks in a classic 7up and Pepsi plastic cup? So old-school! Our pesky member and I quickly reached for our phones to take and do the Insta-Story thingy!
